It's a free program, anyone from 8-17 can join. Some strengths of the program is that all the programs they offer you that are very beneficial. The only problems is that my mentor is the only one managing the program. If he isn't there no one can substitute for him.

My mentor's name is Freedom Reign and he is the coordinator of Eden Computer Clubhouse. His job is typically managing kids daily and coordinating the programs they do.
Blog 3:
Basically, my main responsibility is to assist Freedom and assist the kids in the program to whatever they need. I am a Youth mentor. I do maintenance, computer maintenance, clean-up, software installation, and entertaining the kids. In a typical day, i would show at 2:00 and no one would be there yet, later on, around 3:30 kids come in and get to work. Afterwards they get on the computers and work on their projects that they have chosen. Once they've done that, they have free time for the rest of the day. After the programs over, I help my mentor clean up and then we both leave the center.
Blog 4: My project is the production of a video that speaks about Occupy movement that is getting a lot of attention from the entire nation. Basically I’m helping the production by getting video footage, video editing while my partners work on other parts of the video, and creating the intro the project. I plan to do this by downloading the programs at home and work on them at home and my internship. The idea came from my mentor when he said we needed a video for the Film Festival. I decided to use this video for the opportunity as an project.Blog 5:
I worked on my project today by going over my plan and tutoring the kids.I planned this project by meeting with my mentor and another student who is also interning there and decided who can provide for what and what materials did we have and what did we needed. I completed the storyboard.Blog 6:I used thinking Critically and Complete Project Effectively because I had problems with my schedule and I used critical thinking to by finding a way around my schedule. I used Complete Projects Effectively to plan my project and organize it.They helped me by solving my problems and organizing my work. Thinking Critically is what my mentor used the most by finding ways around problems. I could assess them more often so I could do work quicker. My mentor uses Critical Thinking most because he might have several problems through the day and uses critical thinking to solve them.Blog 7: 1.I learned how to work with 3d animation/graphics and I like to work in that field in the future. 2.I faced issues with my schedule because it would be inconsistent at times. I solved this by going in multiple days a week. 3.I learned how to be patient and how to be productive when I did not even had anything planned.

When i was searching for my WLE, I recall i was searching and looking in to all the places I was interested to. I also called several places to see if they were willing have an intern. I also called several people i knew who could help me. I was able to find one when my mom told me about an after-school program I used to go to. The most effective way to find is to use your resources. Contact people who could help you, people who can guide your way. Have references to support you when you have a new job. Stay confident! I guess when you are a responsible adult, it teaches you about discipline and respect. It really opened my eyes and it really put me in to their shoes, how its like to be relied on and trusted. To be trustworthy.

I came in early and I did the presentation for my WLE to my advisor, and i worked on my project. I improved as an intern by learning what are my skills and where can I assess them. I learned where and how I can help others. Its a great place because it helps gets learn different and new skills they never thought of. What isn't great is that my mentor is the only one that works there. (No Substitutes)
Blog 10:
My WLE is an energetic and progressive place where youths can learn skills and asses themselves. When I look for a WLE, I will plan and start searching for an internship early. I’ll have to be prepared and be able to use my resources.
